The Administration Division of the Saanich Police provides a Criminal History Check service to the public. Criminal History Checks are required for employment, volunteer and a variety of other purposes. You can either come into the Saanich Police Station, at 760 Vernon Ave., to fill out the required form or print off the a copy of the form provided below.

Read the instructions carefully and if you have any questions you can call the Saanich Police Administration Constable at 250-475-4352. COMPLETE THE FORM IN INK.

Volunteer Criminal Record Checks (Free):

The applicant must:

• Reside in Saanich: or
  
• Be volunteering for a non-profit organization that is located in Saanich (does not include unpaid practicum).
  

Check with your volunteer organization to determine if they want you to submit your completed form to them or to us.

If the volunteer organization wants you to submit the completed form to Saanich Police you will have to:

• Provide us with a letter from the organization on their letterhead confirming that you are volunteering;
  
• Submit your completed form to us;
  
• Provide us with two pieces of ID (one of which must be photo ID); and
  
• Pick up the completed form from us, and submit it to your volunteer organization.

Bulk submissions from volunteer organizations may be arranged through the Administration Constable. In this situation the applicant would provide the organization with two pieces of ID (one of which must be photo ID) and submit the completed from to them.

Processing time is approximately 14 working days.

Criminal Checks For Employment Or Any Other Purpose:

The applicant must:

• Pay a $50 fee in cash, cheque (payable to the Saanich Police), money order or debit;
  
• Reside in Saanich;
  
• Must provide two pieces of ID ( one of which must be photo ID); and
  
• Pick up completed form at the front desk of Saanich Police (it can only be picked up by the person who is the subject of the check).

Processing time is approximately 14 business days.
