The 2009 World Police & Fire Games are now underway in Burnaby and at locations throughout the lower mainland.  Over 10,000 athletes from all over the world are attending this year’s games which run from July 31 – August 9th. 

Twenty eight police officers from Saanich Police are attending and will be competing in the following events:

• Ice Hockey
  
• Soccer
  
• Cycling
  
• Tennis
  
• Wrestling
  
• Judo
  
• IPSC Shooting
