Pin Pad Theft

At 4:20am on Sunday October 4th, the Saanich Police attended to an alarm going off at Village Service, 3845 Cadboro Bay Rd.  When police arrived they found a back window to the service station had been broken and removed.  Inside a debit machine and pin pad were found smashed on the floor.  Another one, which was brand new, had been stolen.

The theft of pin pads and then their fraudulent use to steal people’s banking information, is an increasing crime.  If you have any information that can help police solve this break and enter, please call the Saanich Police at 250-475-4321 or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
