A 12 year old boy, on his way home from Glanford Middle School, was followed by a truck yesterday, February 3rd, 2010 at about 3:30pm.

The boy was walking up Glanford towards McKenzie Ave when he spotted a truck driving slowly beside him.  He turned down Baxter Ave to avoid the truck but it made the turn as well and continued to follow.   The boy turned around and headed back to Glanford.  When he looked behind him, he saw the truck backing out of a driveway.  Believing the truck was still following him, the boy ran to a nearby friends house and told an adult.

The truck is described as a newer model, dark coloured Ford diesel pick-up.  It had four doors and heavily tinted windows.  The boy was not able to make out the driver of the truck.

Saanich Police officers searched for the truck without success.  Further investigation is being conducted by officers from the Family Protection Unit and the School Liaison office.
