Five Teens Robbed At Bus Stop

spacer

As five teenage boys, 15 and 16 years old, stood waiting for a bus on Interurban Road by Wilkinson Rd, a pair of young men robbed them.  The teens were approached at about 9:45pm on Saturday, February 13th, 2010, by two men on bikes.

One of the men showed a can of bear spray at the waistband of his pants and then asked the teens if they wanted to buy it.  They all refused, which prompted the men to threaten the teens with the spray while demanding they empty their pockets.  Cash and a cell phone were stolen.

The two men then rode off up Dunsterville Ave.  They are described as follows:

Suspect 1:

  • Caucasian man, late teens, heavy set and about 5’11”
  • Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, jeans with yellow marks on the rear pockets and a LA Dodgers hat.
  • He rode a full suspension black mountain bike with a thick frame.

Suspect 2:

  • Aboriginal man, late teens, thin build and about 6’1”
  • Wearing a black hooded pull over sweatshirt
  • He rode a small black BMX bike

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the Saanich Police at 250-475-4321 or Greater Victoria Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
