The Saanich Police Canine Unit participated in the 2008 Canadian Police Canine National Championship held in Saskatoon. The Saanich Police is proud of our canine unit’s success at this event. They competed against 28 canine teams from across Canada in this prestigious event.

Cst. Jon Zielinski and PSD Bauer placed first place in the Tracking event, first place in the Obedience event, and third place overall. This is a remarkable accomplishment for a team with less than a year of service together.

The Saanich Police Canine Unit has a proud history and Cst. Zielinski and PSD Bauer have once again demonstrated the professionalism and commitment that this unit is noted for.
