The Records Section consists of a team of 23 dedicated and conscientious civilian employees working in a 24/7 environment. The Section provides support services for the Operational side of the Saanich Police. The Records Section has many functions including: directing general telephone inquiries to the proper Division, Unit, or officer, ensuring investigational files contain accurate and up-to-date information; transcribing officers’ reports, interviews and investigational statements; updating all Court and CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) related information; maintaining the file retention process; and maintaining a high level of quality control. All Records Section employees maintain a high standard of competence and professionalism while providing excellent customer service.
