The Saanich Police Public Relations position was created to enhance the relationships with local media outlets and the public.  Sgt Steve Eassie is responsible for holding regular media briefings to communicate the department's involvement in criminal investigations and to keep the public informed. Media releases are prepared and released publicly by email and Twitter.
